If I can’t love Her (From Beauty and the Beast on Broadway)

As much as I love Beauty and the Beast, it would be so thrilling if this song had been in the movie. But unfortunately, this is only available on Broadway and it’s super beautiful in terms of lyrics and music. You do know the feeling of being refused and restricted from loving somebody else when you didn’t mean to hurt that person…and this is applied to the Beast’s situation…unloved and he wants to be loved. He wonders that if he doesn’t learn to love Belle before the last pedal of rose falls down, the he’ll be remaining in this demon form for the rest of his life. Struggling between the two alternatives, he has to make a choice…either to love her or to restrain.

I think Beauty and the Beast is so realistic in terms of real love and building a relationship at a first sight…it’s not like any other Disney stories that we’ve seen but the love between the Beast and Belle is so naturally polished ; it’s pure and challenging..yet creating an unforgettable story to be told 🙂
